Our Story

The Journey Begins:

The pain I felt as a father watching my daughter screaming in agonising pain day in day out. That was life for almost 3 long years. 

Maria suffers from a  debilitating condition called topical steroid withdrawal symptom TSW for short. Like most families my first call for help was the doctors then dermatologists to help maria get her life back.

The solution by the doctors was a disappointment; it relied mainly on prescribing steroids and moisturisers, which provided a temporary relief until they became ineffective, leaving Maria to endure more agony and pain once again.

The doctor’s only recourse was to increase the dosage of steroids, perpetuating an endless cycle of steroid use and havoc on Marias Skin.

It felt like the doctors weren’t listening, and they were reluctant to admit that steroids were harming Marias skin. I was fed up and felt utterly helpless, so out of desperation

I began researching natural remedies that would work with the body. I was determined to find a way to alleviate my daughter’s pain.

Topical steroids are prescribed to treat skin conditions, eczema, Dermatitis, psoriasis etc. When applied it’s as if it does miracles to the skin, within a few days the skin appears healed.

The Nightmare:

However, what most people don’t know is that topical steroids can become addictive. The problem arises when the cream stops working, and this is where the nightmare begins. The flare-ups come back with a vengeance, and the condition can be worse than ever before.

It’s a cycle of addiction that many, including Maria, have experienced firsthand. The very thing that seemed like a lifesaver in the beginning became a curse in the end, a never-ending cycle of dependency and suffering.

Maria made the brave decision to stop using steroids altogether after learning about TSW. Little did we know what was to come next.

The pain was constant, agonising, an itch that was bone-deep, unrelenting. She felt like her skin was on fire with sharp glass piercing the surface. The sensation was unbearable, and the heat emanating from her skin was suffocating. Her skin was shedding constantly, and she was losing weight rapidly. She barely slept, pain became her life.

To make matters worse, her skin was getting infected so often that she was in and out of the hospital constantly. It was a never-ending nightmare that seemed to have no end in sight.

It’s a tough experience that many people, including Maria, have gone through. Steroids ruined her life.

All I wanted was for Maria to be the healthy, bubbly, and cheeky little girl she used to be. Eventually after a long battle with dermatologists, Maria was finally prescribed a biologic called Dupilumab, which helped to reduce the severity of her flare-ups. However, even with the medication, her skin remained damaged and dry, and she still needed help in restoring it to a healthy state.

Breakthrough:

Obsessively I studied and researched herbal remedies. I Spent hundreds of hours formulating remedies desperately seeking something anything that would give maria some relief.

Initially, progress was slow, I had a lot to learn. I began working with pharmacologists and herbalists. They taught me about different types of plant compounds and extraction processes, which was a crucial aspect of the formulation process.

I invested time and energy into learning how to extract these compounds and implement them into formulating skin creams. It was challenging, Through perseverance and hard work. After numerous attempts, I finally managed to formulate a cream that was effective. 

The cream, which I named “Moza Alchemy,” is made up of a blend of natural ingredients that work together to heal the skin. The key components of the cream include raw, unpasteurized honey, Ghanaian shea butter, fractionalized coconut oil (MCT), Ylang-ylang, Pachachui, vitamin E, and chamomile. Each ingredient plays a vital role in nourishing and healing the skin, providing it with the nutrients it needs to thrive.

Maria eagerly took the cream to her room, and I waited anxiously for her feedback. After half an hour, she came running down the stairs, shouting, “Dad, dad, look! I look so glowy!”

Her face was beaming with joy, and her skin looked plump and radiant. She loved the cream so much that she even started using it as a makeup primer (even though it wasn’t meant to be used that way!).

Seeing my daughter happy and enjoying her skin was an indescribable feeling. The happiness on her face was worth all the hard work and dedication that went into creating the Moza Alchemy cream.

After Maria tried the cream, she shared some samples with her friends, and they loved it. Some used it to alleviate their skin issues, while others used it as a makeup primer. 

The demand for the cream grew  as more and more people heard about it. Requests for samples poured in, and people expressed a keen interest in buying it for themselves.

The feedback from those who had used it was overwhelmingly positive, and it was clear that the creams were making a real difference in people’s lives. It was heartening to see the impact that a natural solution was having, and it motivated me to certify the formulas and make it available to as many people as possible.

It was a humbling experience to witness first hand the power of natural remedies and their ability to transform lives. I was thrilled to be able to share this with others and to help people feel comfortable in their own skin.

Although Maria hasn’t fully recovered from TSW yet, her flare-ups have reduced in frequency and intensity. While she still experiences occasional symptoms, they are not as painful as they used to be, and she is now able to manage them better.

Maria has incorporated the honey range of creams into her daily routine, which has provided her with the relief she needs to live her life more fully. The creams have proven to be an effective natural remedy for her skin, providing her with the nourishment and healing properties that her skin needs.

Maria is more confident and able to enjoy life without the constant burden of TSW. It’s an empowering feeling.
